Black History Month Fashion Show 2019

In 2019 during Black History Month, the founders of Golden Street were inspired to step outside of their comfort zone and curate a fashion show. This fashion show highlighted the designs of three up and coming fashion designers, Brittany Ridgell (Distressed Not Pressed), Leah Powell (HBCU Mada Love), and Yaseen Llewellyn. Each set was followed by a musical or spoken word performance by Parnell, Ridgio, and The Po.em: Aaliyah Scimone. In between each set, the host ComiCaleb led three rounds of Black History Month trivia and at the end of the fashion show, and an original piece of art by Amoz of Art was raffled off to the audience. The show was deejayed by DJ Mudd. This was an overall successful show with over 50 people in attendance and various artists were allowed to showcase their God-given talents.
